Resumen

Los factores de la innovación juegan un rol clave para la adaptación de las empresas turísticas familiares en las diferentes etapas del ciclo de vida. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la interacción de los factores de innovación en el ciclo de vida de empresas familiares hoteleras maduras; a través de un método de estudio de caso comparativo cualitativo, se estudiaron cuatro hoteles de propiedad familiar en el destino turístico de Mazatlán, Sinaloa México. Los principales hallazgos señalan que las empresas familiares maduras en su eje del negocio transitan por etapas específicas de estancamiento, consolidación y declive; en cada una de ellas, los factores exógenos y endógenos de innovación comportan dinámicas diferentes.
