Abstract

This article analyzes changes in the geography of tourism in Guadalajara, Jalisco, based on the characterization of conditions observed in polygons close to the 18 stations of the new Line 3 of the Light Rail. An exploratory model is used with the qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) method, built with theoretical principles of urban economics. A trend of concentration in central districts of the city and the beginnings of new tourist agglomerations in the west are demonstrated, which promises to continue the historical segregated growth process of Guadalajara.
